kamut dough

What is Kamut?

Kamut is a flour produced from a specific variety of wheat, resulting from the milling of the 'Khorasan' variety. Contrary to what everyone thinks, this type of flour is a very ancient product that was already cultivated in Egypt over 6000 years ago. Rich in nutrients and proteins, it has many beneficial and antioxidant properties. This type of pizza dough is especially suitable for those with general wheat intolerances. This obviously does not apply to those suffering from coeliac disease as Kamut contains gluten, in which case we recommend a glutenfree pizza from our menu.

Our gourmet pizzeria has decided not only to adopt this type of dough, but we use a type from organic farming. The philosophy of Beato Te Milano is to embrace all kinds of tastes, as long as the product we serve is of high quality, which is why we are very careful in the choice of our raw materials such as Kamut Bio.
